Brit and Cam – Volunteer Spotlight
Our first duo spotlight: Cameron and Brittany! At age 20, they are a young powerhouse couple who have devoted all their spare time to helping animals. They met in 8th grade and started dating shortly after. Brittany had already been vegetarian for awhile, and Cameron became vegetarian once they met. It wasn’t until their senior year that they learned what veganism was. They went vegan on the spot after watching Earthlings. They had no idea what they were doing at first, but they tried their best and have come a long way.
Their freshman year of college, Brittany started a vegan club at IUPUI called Students Against Animal Cruelty. Their first semester they did a leafleting event with IARA and have been volunteering and organizing events with us since! Brit and Cam do a Paid-Per-View event almost every semester and volunteer at all of the IARA events. They recently devoted their entire day to helping at our PPV table at the Pride Festival…it was a long, hot and tiring day, but they never slowed down! Especially since summer started, they’ve been doing as much activism as possible. They have done something almost every day in June, and on down days they’ve been editing footage for a YouTube channel they just started called Midwestern Vegans. On the channel they’ll be uploading all the activism they’ve been doing and also just general vlogs with their vegan experience. Check it out here and be sure to subscribe! Thanks for all you do, Brit and Cam 🙂 🙂 🙂
