Fresh Thyme Pulls Fairlife Products From All Stores
Midwest grocery chain Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is removing all Fairlife products from their shelves in all 75 store locations after undercover videos showed horrific animal abuse occurring at Indiana’s Fair Oaks Farms.
The news from Fresh Thyme follows a slew of other chains pulling Fairlife products off the shelf including Jewel-Ocso (the largest grocery chain in Chicago), Family Express and others.
After the undercover video was released last week Fair Oaks owner Mike McCloskey released a series of statements denying knowledge of the abuse and even denying knowledge that thousands of Fair Oaks baby calves have been shipped off to a veal farm, despite this likely being a notable source of income for Fair Oaks over the years.
We thank Fresh Thyme for making a great decision and encourage other grocery chains to follow suit. The dairy industry is responsible for an incredible amount of suffering and death and we hope this encourages more people to seek out cruelty-free plant-based alternatives.
