One of our organizers was recently asked what was wrong with allowing people to just have different beliefs about how animals are used and her response is worth sharing!
I don’t think this is a matter of having different beliefs. Most people have the same values of compassion, nonviolence, and decency. This is a matter of our choices reflecting those beliefs. It’s so easy to eat vegan foods, and it benefits many other aspects of our life than just animals. But this is about the animals, and not allowing them to suffer for something we certainly don’t need. It’s unnecessary violence, and that’s not an opinion or a belief.
